Chris Mayo has been performing stand up on the UK comedy circuit since 2005. In 2008 he moved to North London, and can now be found performing most nights at venues across the country.
Performing for some of the most respected clubs and promoters in the country including Off The Kerb, Just The Tonic, Avalon, Up The Creek, The 99 Club, The Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, Downstairs at The Kings Head, Mirth Control and many more. Chris Mayo has established himself as an exciting, versatile and consistently inventive comedian.
Experienced playing in front of all types of crowds from arts centres to stag and hen do’s, theatres to university gigs, Chris has worked alongside some of the biggest names in comedy including Stephen K Amos, Dave Gorman, Stephen Merchant, Shappi Khorsandi, Russell Kane, Lee Mack, Stewart Lee, Daniel Kitson, Arthur Smith and many more.
Owing to the strength of his audience interaction and improvisational skills, Chris Mayo is in much demand as a compere, and widely regarded as one of the best on the circuit. He also has a strong set, capable of performing 20-40 minutes.
Chris Mayo has performed at The Leicester Comedy Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, Hull Comedy Festival and has performed solo shows at arts centres across the country.
