Private Event Testimonials:
“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the Northern Ireland gig. It was a fantastic performance and a wonderful show, which was clearly enjoyed by the young men and women of 2 Rifles. Your genuine respect and admiration for them is something that they will have picked up on, and will have reinforced the important and morale-boosting message of support from the general public that the British Forces Foundation exists to deliver. The whole trip was a great success. We look forward to working with you again in the future.” – Mark Seymour, Head of Communications, The British Forces Foundation
“On behalf of BIRA, I just wanted to thank you for being the host at The Gala Awards. You handled everything in a very professional manner (despite some technical difficulties), and we have already received a lot of positive feedback from attending members, congratulating the team on a day that is being viewed as a tremendous success. Comments about you included: “Very funny!” and “Fantastic entertainment – would really like to see him again!”. Once again, many thanks for your time and effort towards making this a very successful event, and thanks for remaining so patient – and delivering the script so well (despite its length!).” – Ian Carr, British Independent Retailers Association
“An excellently-paced hour of stand-up and musical whimsy – go and see this hilarious and quite unique exponent of comedy.” – THE SCOTSMAN
“A wondrous array of classy gags. Comedy scholars, plus folk needing a right good laugh, can choose from a wide range of quality Moloney originals. Take your pick from droll one-liners; coruscating bits of political satire, absurdist observations; gleeful schoolboy puns and observant re-interpretations of everyday phenomena. In addition, they’re all delivered with a measured dryness and quiet understatement, too. Masterly.” – THE HERALD
“Moloney’s comedy is in defiance of the trend towards sophistication. His technology consists of a microphone and….that’s it. His gags are stripped down and rapid, his delivery is suitably clipped. No fat on this show.” – THE SUNDAY TIMES
“He has the down to earth stage manner of a performer from the pre-alternative era and has perfected the art of delivering punchy routines with barely an ounce of fat. It is good to know that there is still room for a stand-up comedian as gifted and unpretentious as John Moloney.” – THE TIMES
“He looks every bit the professional. He is. He treats the audience with compassion, tact and intelligence in a show that has strolling one-liners and relative stories. A natural rapport.” – THE STAGE
“Good old fashioned stand up. He is acutely funny at his deadpan and beautifully bitchy best.” – THE LIST
“A blistering sixty minutes on life, love, celebrity, royalty and religion.” – METRO
“A powerfully funny act.” – TIME OUT
“Has stacks of material…what used to be known as rapier wit.” – EVENING NEW
