Comedians & Entertainers Available All Over The UK
Paul Zenon is Britain’s leading magician – and funny with it. He has performed in around thirty countries in every conceivable location, from the London Palladium to the jungles of Belize, from the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to an aircraft carrier in the Adriatic, and from the Comedy Store to the back of a truck in a Bosnian war zone.
He has literally hundreds of television appearances to his name including three top-rating hour-long one-man specials on Channel 4 and one on ITV. Paul is probably the UK’s busiest stand-up corporate entertainer, performing after-dinner entertainment, link-presenting and hosting awards ceremonies at events worldwide. In the last year alone he has appeared in Paris, Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Manila, Mauritius and Tokyo.
Paul’s TV ‘street magic’ shows Turning Tricks, Tricky Christmas and Trick or Treat have been screened worldwide and are amongst Channel 4′s highest-ever rating specials. Other recent TV appearances have included White Magic with Paul Zenon (self-produced one-hour one-man special, ITV), Magic (2 episodes, BBC2), Crafty Tricks of War (BBC2), Countdown (special guest, 10 episodes, C4), Are You Telepathic? (C5), The Chris Moyles Show (4 appearances, C5 and Radio 1), Crime Team (C4) It Shouldn’t Happen to a TV Performer (ITV), World’s 50 Greatest Magic Tricks (C4), Greatest Magic Tricks in the Universe…Ever (series, C5), Best Ever Magic Tricks (ITV), Secret History – Magic at War (C4), Jane Goldman Investigates (Living), The Test (ITV), Ready Steady Cook (BBC), Richard and Judy (C4), Terry and Gaby (3 episodes, C5), RI:SE (C5), Live Floor Show (BBC), Loose Lips (Living), Good Food Live (2 episodes, UK Food), Stupid Punts (BBC), The Wright Stuff (2 episodes, C5) and This Morning (2 episodes, ITV). Paul recently hosted twenty-two hour-long episodes of Worst Case Scenario on Bravo.
Paul has spent a lifetime dedicated to deceit. He pulled off his first sting aged just eight, selling fake raffle tickets to the residents of his street for a non-existent prize. As a teenager he worked in a Blackpool joke shop before setting off to travel the Mediterranean as a street magician, fire-eater and phoney fortune-teller.
After a short spell as a casino croupier in Scandinavia he was fired for cheating and returned to the UK where he began performing in summer shows and comedy clubs. He went on to host tours for the British and U.S. Forces in locations as far afield as Belize, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Gibraltar and the Falkland and Ascension Islands.
In the early Nineties Paul presented four series of children’s programmes – Tricky Business and Tricks ‘n’ Tracks – on BBC1, produced and presented Magic You Can Do, a retail-release teach-yourself videotape, and he was the creator, writer and associate producer of Crazy Cottage, an ITV game show which reached number one in the ratings in each of its three series.
In recent years, in addition to his corporate and TV work, Paul has appeared in Australia, Dubai, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Philippines, Spain, Sweden and the United States, had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals, and toured the UK to rave reviews with a one-man show Paul Zenon – Off the Street, On the Road. For three years he was the resident in-flight video presenter for Britannia Airways.
